Heather + Nick | Lake Wedding | Somerset, Michigan
Heather and Nick know how to have fun. Let me tell you. They were married on an island in Lake Somerset. Guests were boated in from shore for the ceremony, and there were even some cheering from boats docked just off the island.

I met Heather at a lake house near the island, and Gabe met Nick at their home just up the road for getting ready photos.

Heather had an amazing custom gown with a detachable train from House of DeVaughn in Jackson, and makeup artist Sarah Risner from Dollface Designs made sure she looked like a queen on her big day.

Once all were ready, it was time for the first look!

One thing that I love about Heather and Nick is that they were up for anything! When Heather selected a giant brush pile as the backdrop for her wedding party photos, I was 100% on board.

After that, it was time to boat around for more photos before heading to the island for the ceremony.

After a few family portraits and gorgeous lake photos, we boated back to shore and took golf carts down the road to Heather and Nick's house, where the reception was already in full swing!

These two definitely took backyard wedding to the next level, and we are so thrilled to have been apart of it!
